About the Sunshine Coast Dirt Bike Association:
The Sunshine Coast Dirt Bike Association (SCDMA) is a community-driven, volunteer-run organization dedicated to promoting safe, sustainable, and enjoyable off-road motorcycling on the Sunshine Coast. As an active member of the British Columbia Off-Road Motorcycle Association (BCORMA), we work to protect rider access, support responsible trail stewardship, and collaborate with local partners to maintain and improve our diverse trail network. Our mission is to foster a welcoming environment for riders of all ages and skill levels while advocating for long-term, environmentally responsible motorized recreation in the region.
The SCDBA is also proud to support a vibrant riding community through events and partnerships that strengthen both our sport and our region. Each year we host the Grey Creek Grind, a flagship event that brings riders together from across B.C., along with regular social rides that encourage skill-building, mentorship, and connection. We are committed to giving back through initiatives like the Community Trash Bash, where members help keep local trails clean and accessible. We also works closely with neighbouring trail societies to coordinate stewardship efforts, share resources, and ensure that multi-use trail systems remain safe, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone.
The club also invests hundreds of volunteer hours each year into trail clearing and maintenance to ensure safe, reliable access across the region’s riding areas. Our members work year-round to remove windfall, brush overgrowth, and storm damage, while also supporting larger projects such as bridge repairs, drainage improvements, and reroutes that protect the long-term health of the trail system. Through these efforts, the Sunshine Coast Dirt Bike Association plays an essential role in keeping local trails open, sustainable, and enjoyable for the entire off-road community.
